Design Appointment Cards

This is a brief tutorial on appointment card design by PGprint.com. Appointment card designs can be created in InDesign, we show how you can modify one layout to create a library of alternate ideas for future usage. It can be thought of as creating several InDesign templates for the next appointment card project you design.

Design Templates

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

We here at Piedmont Graphics (PG Print) are in the process of creating a multitude of items to assist our customers. One thing on this list is design templates. The question we have deliberated is the value of these design templates to our customers. Would it be more of a benefit to create software tutorials on how to use these programs, or supply files, at a small cost,  in the programs that customers can download, fill with copy, make a pdf and send back to us? “Stock Layouts” website [link] already fills this need rather well. For around $99 for a brochure and $39 for stationery you can have a professional looking design. The only drawback to any template from the web is that your competitor or even the dentist around the corner could be using that same design template.  With all these points in mind our primary push over the next few months will be to create free InDesign Tutorials, free Illustrator tutorials, and free Photoshop tutorials. After we have created these free video tutorials we can then review creating a more cost effective and creative way of making templates available to our valued customers. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to contact us via email or the comments section!
