A $900 iPad Application or “Cry-Wolf Social Marketing”
SiteClone Publisher, a new app that came out for the iPad with its release last weekend. It is an interesting app, and has quite a few possibilities. The app basically clones a website for offline reading when you have no internet access. Great idea, wrong price. One wonders if they just priced it at that level for publicity, I guess we will see if they lower its price soon. It would be a pretty creative way to use social networking and blogging to market your product for free. I mean come on, I’m even re-blogging it, right? I have seen quite a few “interesting” ways of marketing using blogs and social media sites to put in the grunt work while they reap the benefits. Is it the way marketing is headed in the future? Should we call it “cry-wolf social marketing?” You can quote ME on that one… Who knows if this qualifies or they really want $900 for it, time will tell. For the full story on the app check out the post on Wired

I like Apple products. I consider IPad is the hit! But the prices are awful here in Australia!
My very favorite continent is undoubtedly Australia. Great article. Learned new concepts.
