An escaped zebra galloped along a busy section of the interstate with police in hot pursuit Thursday turning it into a real Circus. The zebra (from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus) escaped from a handler and was spotted in random parts of downtown Atlanta before heading over to the Downtown Connector, where Interstates 85 and 75 merge together through downtown Atlanta.
The animal was captured near where the interstate curves by Grady Hospital. It took Five or six police cars to box the zebra in and then handlers corralled it into a truck. Luckily this event didn’t effect any of our local deliveries, How does the saying go… Neither rain, nor snow, nor Zebra…?
